What happens in the yoga room?
When you enter, place your mat, towel and water where you choose to practise. Markings on the floor will denote each practice spot.
During class, try the best that you can. You’re welcome to take breaks at anytime, or as directed by your teacher.
When class finishes enjoy some time in savasana!
After class, the room is prepared for the next class on schedule.
Bikram Yoga - what can I expect?
The room is designed to be hot, with air circulating continuously throughout the class.
Heat & sweat will take a few classes to get used to, but soon you’ll not notice either. It is a healing practice - do what you can, with what you have, on any given day. It is a disciplined practice - be prepared to be challenged & step outside your comfort zone.
Post class buzz or high is long lasting.
With consistent practice (we recommend 3 times per week) you’ll start to glow & everyone will ask ‘Hey, what’s different about you? What have you been doing?’ & that’s when you can tell them ‘I do Bikram Yoga’.
Bikram Yoga - what are best tips for practice?
Hydration, hydration, hydration - electrolytes can help either before, during or after class
Try not to eat 2 hrs before practice - but continue hydration.
Light clothing is best, we don’t mind what you wear, but ensure you can move & remember your going to sweat, so shorts, leggings, crop tops etc.
